Them Crooked Vultures

There is usually an intense curiosity when it comes to hearing the result of different musicians collaborating on a side project. There is no doubt that a certain collaboration between Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) will bring that curiosity to the table. The three virtuosos of rock and roll decided to name this supergroup “Them Crooked Vultures.”
Them Crooked Vultures runs the gamut of past influences of rock and roll while maintaining a modern approach. They are best described as a faster paced version of Queens of the Stone Age with a more groove-centric attitude. With Homme harmonizing on vocals and lead guitar, Jones tackling the bass, and Grohl thrashing on the drums, they will undoubtedly provide for an eclectic listening experience.
As of now, the band has no set release date for their upcoming studio album or any upcoming singles, making their fans more anxious and excited to get their hands on a tangible copy of their material. Them Crooked Vultures will soon hit the road for their Deserve the Future Tour which will be taking place worldwide from the beginning of October until the end of January 2010. Here is a snippet of one of their singles “Scumbag Blues”. Enjoy.
