I love photography. There’s something about a visually stimulating photo that has the ability to capture you and transport your imagination to a different time and place. Toby Burrows photos do just that, and in such a beautiful way. It’s photos like the ones that he creates that really demonstrate the full spectrum of human creativity while illustrating the ridiculous beauty of the world that we are blessed with living in.

Check out his portfolio for a well deserved mental and imaginative break.

So, if I’m going to be completely honest (which I just decided I am going to be), I’m kind of a closet photo nerd. What this means exactly..I don’t know, essentially I love taking photos, as well as admiring them. So when I stumbled across this, I was pretty amazed. “Reconscious” (flickr username) has managed to re-invent the wheel if you will in terms of the good-ol pass time of painting with light. Sometimes..actually…all the time, the ingenuity of the human brain amazes me. An LED light was attached to a modern day R2D2 known as a Roomba (robot-vaccum thing), and the shutter of a DSLR was left open. The result was an extremely visually aesthetically pleasing image. What I found particularly interesting was how effective the little thing was in making it around practically the entire room. From geometric shapes, to the cookie-cutter image of the floor space that was left, the photo as a whole was pretty solid. On a side note, my idea of making a robot assistant/best friend is looking more and more possible.
